I certainly want stupidity to be fixed, but I do not want to be the one who takes on the responsibility to see that it gets done. Can we not just beat the stupid ones until they shape up? This way of thinking I know is stupid, and I know it comes out of an emotional reaction based on negative experiences that I have had with relentlessly stupid people. However, I have struggled much to gain the modest ability to analyze my own thinking and I have at least a vague notion of how much of an uphill battle it is to fix stupidity - looking back on my own development without having followed the process and without having tried to guide it in others. For me the key is in having the ability to step back from any emotional triggers and see begin to see things in context. This may be different for other people. This goes back to the saying "it takes a village". So how to we make way for the village to form, for that aspect of culture to develop and become strong?
